Unique Baby Shower Games

When it comes time for a baby shower, there is a lot of preparation that needs to be done in order for the event to run smoothly. Before the baby shower date arrives, it's important that the shower is entirely planned out. This means that the baby shower has a theme, invitations have been sent, a location has been picked, and plenty of other things. But once all of the important things are out of the way, you can take time to sit down and think about what should happen the day of the baby shower. Of course there will be the time to eat and the gift giving time, but there also comes a time when guests just want to have fun. And to do this, you should consider coming up with some unique baby shower games. This way, all of your guests can bond and join in on a fun experience.

At the baby shower, there's nothing better than being able to celebrate a new life while being able to have fun at the same time. If you've ever been to a baby shower, you've probably seen games played before. Some of these games are originals, and are still very fun, but maybe you want to come up with unique baby shower games for all of your guests to play. The good thing is, to come up with unique baby shower games is that you don't have to outright come up with a game on your own. You can easily use a commonly played game and add your own twist to it.

For example, let's take the game The Price is Right. While this game has nothing to do with baby showers, you can twist it to make it fit perfectly. Buy certain baby items such as shampoo, soap, diapers, bottles, and others. Make sure that you write down the prices to use on the day of the baby shower. Once the baby shower comes, you can play the game and have guests try to guess the price of each item. The person who guesses the closest to the right price wins. Of course, all of the baby items should be given to the mother at the end of the game, as a gift from everyone.

Another unique baby shower game that is tasty at the same time is one that involves buying certain items, preferably candy bars that can be used as representations of certain things dealing with babies and pregnancy. You can buy all different types of candy and give each one a different meaning. Buy a Whatchmacallit to represent a baby that has no name yet, Mike & Ikes or M&M's if the mother is expecting twins, Whoopers or Now and Laters to represent contractions, Twizzlers to be the umbilical cord, and a Zero bar to represent the time alone the parents will have! These are just examples, so be creative. The guests will have to try to figure out what each type of candy represents.

Coming up with unique baby shower games is easy. Think about common games that are played and somehow connect them to a baby theme.
