Homemade baby shower games and game ideas

At baby showers, one of the best parts is being able to play baby shower games. They are always extremely fun, and it's always great to be able to socialize with other guests at the shower. There are probably thousands of baby shower games to choose from, and even more if you're a creative person that has the ability to come up with unique ideas. If you're one of these people, or you're on a tight budget, you may want to set aside some time to create homemade baby shower games. These games can still be extremely fun, but they will be unique and homemade, which means you're able to save money.

To make homemade baby shower games, you can simply find games online that you like, and decide if you can make the game at home or not. You can also think of games that most people play at home, and then find a way to make that game more baby shower oriented. You can also just come up with your own idea. If you're unsure, here are a few games you should consider.

1. Concentration

For this game, all you need is a piece of poster-board, preferably 20"x30" so that you have enough room to write your words. Then come up with a list of words that go along with a baby. These can include things such as pregnancy, belly, sleeping, diapers, crib, bundle of joy, and plenty of others. Use 3"x3" blocks and write a word in each of them. Make sure that you use each word twice. Then find sticky-notes that you can use to cover each word. Guests will have to pick numbered sticky-notes in hopes that they will find two matching words.

2. Bingo

At home you can easily make your own bingo boards and bingo markers. Bingo is probably one of the easier games to make at home. Make sure that the bingo cards are filled with words, not numbers. Use words that go along with babies.

3. Pin the Pacifier on the Baby

This game is much like Pin the Tail on the Donkey. To make this game, you'll need a drawing or cut out of a baby. You will then have to hang the drawing on a wall. If you know how many guests are coming to the baby shower, use cut-outs or online images and print out a pacifier for each guest. Put a small piece of tape on the back of each pacifier. Then, spin your guest 3 times while blindfolded and have them try to put the pacifier in the right location.
